Johnny Depp House Visit

On 7th July 2023 actor and musician Johnny Depp visited the Birthplace. See our dedicated webpage for more info: Johnny Depp.

Have you been inspired by Johnny’s visit to learn more about the work of Dylan Thomas?

This house visit will be conducted by either Geoff Haden or Alun Gibbard who personally guided Johnny around the house on his visit. They will recount Johnny’s visit for you.

Find out what Johnny chatted about, his views on Dylan, how the visit happened, and other unreleased info. The visit is perfect for fans of Johnny who are keen to discover the work of one of his favourite writers. Your personal guide will discuss Johnny’s favourite Dylan piece of writing, Dylan quotes he mentioned, and offer advice about which of Dylan’s work to read and appreciate first. The visit is suitable for those who are new to Dylan’s work and want to learn more.

An unique opportunity to walk in the footsteps of both Dylan Thomas and Johnny Depp.

Afternoon Tea

Add Afternoon Tea at Dylan’s to your booking for £20 plus visit price. Minimum group size of 2.

Indulge in a slice of one of the finest British traditions and take the signature Afternoon Tea at Dylan’s. After your visit enjoy a family-style afternoon tea whilst listening to some of Dylan’s work. Typical teas include a bounty of beautifully baked scones with cream and strawberry jam, pastries or maybe a naughty cake, and a selection of succulent sandwiches. All served with a hearty Welsh brew served in a set of antique Edwardian china.

Afternoon Teas are not available on Wednesdays or Sundays. Minimum of 4 days notice is required. Contact us for availability.

Without exception, each visitor is welcomed as a friend. Come along and see Dylan’s tiny bedroom as it would have been in around 1934 when he was writing two thirds of his published work!

Visits are suitable for both avid Dylan fans, or for those who have no knowledge of Dylan at all! Indeed some of our visitors come to just enjoy the house that has been restored back to 1914.
