Natalie Ann Holborow

Natalie is an MA graduate in Creative Writing at Swansea University and an active member on the spoken word scene in South Wales. In the day she is a learning support assistant and teaches creative writing workshops to children in a primary school where she is otherwise known as "Miss Hall-de-Barrow". She was awarded the Terry Hetherington Award in 2015 and has been shortlisted for various others including the Bridport Prize, Hippocrates Prize and the National Poetry Competition. Natalie also took part in the Dylan Thomas International Residency in Tranas, Sweden in 2014. She is looking to publish her first poetry collection and has recently been published in both The Stinging Fly and The New Welsh Review.

“As Versifier I want to encourage creativity in his family home and various venues through events, workshops and active engagement with Dylan’s work by finding inspiration not only from his words but from his “…ugly, lovely town…” of Swansea itself. “I’ve always regretted that I never studied Dylan at school so I want everyone to be able to take something from his work and to use it to develop their own creativity.”.
